Missy, Humane Society foster parent and rescue league ready to go home! |
*A HAPPY ENDING*
Missy was a 10 year old female dog who was brought into the Humane Society shelter as a stray with a tumor on her right front paw. She was the sweetest dog and everyone here just fell in love with her. Because it was painful for her to walk, we had provided the surgery to get the tumor removed. The surgery was successful and we had notified Judy from "Old Dog Haven" to see if she would be willing to take her in. They were full at the time, so we were put on a waiting list. While we waited we had found Missy a wonderful foster home to take care of her while her foot healed. They took good care of her, but the next thing we knew, Old Dog Haven called us to let us know that they had room for our sweet girl! Judy came out to meet Missy and decided to take her into her home. She loves her so much that she doesn't know if she would be able to let her go! |

Thank you to the Skagit County Parks And Recreation!
These kids are involved in the Strive Program that is a day camp to help animals. They came out to our shelter to volunteer to clean kennels, walk dogs, and care for all of our animals. We would like to thank them so much for all their hard work and their kind hearts. The animals really appreciate it!
