OUR MISSION
The mission of the Humane Society of Skagit Valley is to provide a safe haven to shelter and care for the abandoned, abused or unwanted animals within Skagit County; to treat animals with dignity and respect; to place these animals in loving and caring homes; and to create public education programs to increase the awareness of the necessity of spay and neuter as well as humane treatment for animals.

The Humane Society of Skagit Valley was established in 1974 and sees over 3500 animals pass through its doors each year.

We answer hundreds of calls each month about pet care.
Volunteers provide hours of enjoyment to local nursing home residents by bringing pets from the shelter to visit.
Our staff rescues injured domestic pets and small wildlife in our area, 24 hours a day.

HUMANE SOCIETY THRIFT SHOP
Call us with information about your lost pet and we will log it in our books. However, there is no substitute for the owner coming into the shelter to see if their pet has been brought in.
Many dogs and cats are placed in good homes. Our low adoption fee includes the cost of spay and neutering, first vaccines, collar and identification tags.
